Review of Me & Mr Carrington by Alexandra Brown

Me & Mr Carrington by Alexandra Brown

Georgie Hart can’t believe her luck. It looks like Tom, the hunky boss of Carrington’s Department Store, in the picture-postcard town of Mulberry-on-Sea, is as hot for her as she is for him. After a romantic Italian get-together leaves her on Cloud Nine, Georgie is brought back down to earth with a bump when she has to get back behind the counter of the Luxury Handbags section.

But when Georgie is left open-mouthed by a revelation from one of her well-heeled customers, it seems like Tom hasn’t been entirely honest with her. Has Georgie done her usual trick of adding two and two together to make five?

When I asked Alexandra what her inspiration was for the second Carrington’s instalment, little did I know that she’d send me directly to her gorgeous website. If you’re interested in hearing what inspired the author, please click the link below:

Please note that this is a short story which isn’t available in Paperback.

Alexandra begins the second instalment by giving her readers a quick recap and it’s great in case you’ve read Cupcakes At Carrington’s a while ago. Readers are given a chance to learn more about the main character, Georgie and Mr Carrington. I’m not one to spoil books in case anyone is yet to read it, but let’s just say that Mr C is delightful.

I couldn’t help but question whether Mr C was “the one” for Georgie as I’ve always liked James, but as it turns out, Alexandra ties up all the loose ends. The moral of the story is definitely do not listen to gossip or jump to conclusions! Poor Georgie, if I were her, I’d be pulling all my hair out whilst going stare crazy!

The short story ends perfectly.
