On the fourth day of Blogmas…

Blurb:

Sarah’s doing great. Okay, her dreams might still be totally bananas but real life is definitely back on track. She’s got a fantastic job, amazing friends and plans to spend all Christmas wrapped up with Brett, her handsome boyfriend. But after another night of increasingly bizarre dreams, Sarah wakes to find her housemate suddenly announcing she’s moving out. And later that day Brett begins to act strangely. He’s clearly hiding something – but what? Soon Sarah can’t help but wonder if she’s living in a festive nightmare. Will any of her dreams come true for Christmas?

Review:

*Make sure you read Dream A Little Dream before this Christmas special.

As we rejoin Sarah and her crazy world of dreams, she finds herself in a blissful state of happiness; a boyfriend who adores her, a best friend who she can wee in front of and not to forget, it’s almost Christmas. The plot is beautifully times with Sarah enjoying 5am Kardashian sessions with her best friend and flat mate Carly before an announcement is sprung upon her.

“Stupid love. Love ruins everything.. Said no sane and happy person anywhere, ever. Bah humbug.”

Sarah’s boyfriend Brett is hiding something – from the mystery phone calls he declines to not sleeping over at his flat, she soon discovers that something isn’t what it seems. But could she be jumping to conclusion? I love how realistic Giovanna makes her characters; Sarah overthinks life far too much and I really can relate to that. Nice to know I’m not the only one, even if she is Fictional.

“Since we re-met last year, I’ve felt like we’ve been in our own little dream…”

As Christmas is only a day or two away, the anticipation of the future between Sarah and Brett is hanging in the balance but which way will it go? Giovanna’s writing is so easy to get caught up in, her characters quickly become your friends and you will be left feeling all festive (yes, even in October when I read this). It’s a beautiful Christmassy read which will leave you wanting more from Sarah’s crazy world.
