On Sunday, I’ll be on a plane heading to Corfu for a few days.
I can’t flipping wait.
I love travelling around the world, seeing new places, deciding on what to pack and more importantly, what makeup to take.
I haven’t bought any new products in preparation so in reality, its makeup you’ve already seen a million times before but still, I wanted to share with you.
I always start with the base.
Seeing as I don’t wear foundation, concealer is my number one gal.
Both these concealers are amazing with brightening up my face and covering any red elements.
I’ve been using the Rimmel Stay Matte powder for quite some time now and I just adore it. In the heat of the day in Corfu, I’m going to need something which will keep my face together rather than melting so this is perfect.
For me, eyes are the statement when it comes to makeup.
I’ve thought long and hard about which eyeshadow palettes I want to take and truth be told, I can’t be bothered taking any because I know that 99% of the time, I’ll just reach for my trusty MAC ‘Era’ eyeshadow.
It’s been my go-to eyeshadow since I was a teenager and I absolutely love it. I’ve been using this particular one for about two years every single day and I’m yet to hit pan.
When it comes to eyeliner, I only use L’Oreal Ultra Precision Superliner. I’ve had zero faults from using it and every time, it’s applies flawlessy.
I’ve said multiple times on my blog that I struggle finding a mascara which really works for my super tiny lashes. But that was until I discovered Benefit’s Roller Lash. I tend to apply Rimmel’s Volume Shake Mascara underneath (forgot to photograph it, oops) and then I apply Roller Lash. My lashes look unreal and with the liner already applied, my eyes are ready to go.
*At this point, I’ll probably touch up on my powder as I’ve been squishing down on my face whilst applying liner and mascara.
This past year or so, I’ve really loved contouring.
The Rimmel Sculpt Palette is my daily go-to for contour. I can’t remember which shade I have but it’s perfect for my skin tone and teamed up with the Real Techniques contour brush, it applies like an absolute dream.
Since 2013, the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in the shade ‘Lovely Pink,’ has been the one which I reach for the most. The pigment is enough for my skin tone, it sits perfectly on the tops of my cheek bones and gives my skin that little added colour.
When it comes to highlight, I wanna be poppin’. Since purchasing the Sleek ‘Solstice’ Palette earlier this year, I’ve been head over heels in love with it. I couldn’t imagine taking another highlighting palette away with me.
For me, lips aren’t a big deal but when you’re on holiday, you tend to make more of an effort so that’s what I’m aiming to do.
When I apply my moisturiser, I tend to pop a little bit of the Molton Brown lip saver onto my lips. Essentially, it is Vaseline but a) it was free from a hotel, b) it’s Molton Brown and c) it’s cute.
I’ve tried to think of which lipstick will go with all of my outfits and the Collection Lasting Colour in the shade ‘China Rose’ is the one.
It’s creamy, it’s moisturing, it’s the perfect shade for my skin tone and despite eating like a horse, it stays exactly where it is.
I kinda wish I had a setting spray or a few more products to choose from, but I know that these makeup products will do my face justice in the heat of Corfu.
Oh and in case you’re wondering, my makeup bag is from Harrods.
