The Sunday Post #44

I’m not sure how I’ve survived this week.

In a handful of hours, my world just flipped and it’s somehow on the mend.

I feel emotionally and mentally drained so I’ve had a bit of a chilled weekend in order to recharge my batteries and start fresh tomorrow.

Blogger Mail

It’s been quite a while since I received any type of blogger mail, but this week, I received a very exciting parcel from Penguin Books.

I’ve been a big fan of Isabelle Broom’s novels for a good year or so now and I’m very excited to read her new book.

Pumpkin Carving

No, I didn’t go to a pumpkin patch.

Yes, I did go to the Co-op and get two large pumpkins for £4.

Pumpkin. Pumpkin. Pumpkin.

I tried to keep it simple this year and carve the word ‘BOO’ into it but in all honesty, it didn’t exactly turn out Instagram worthy.

I’ll try again next year.

What I’ve Been Reading

As you know from last week’s post, I started reading I See You by Clare Mackintosh and on Thursday evening, I finished it.

OH IT’S GOOD.

You’re completely hooked until the very last page and I truly mean that.

Naturally, there’s a review coming soon.

Hitting 1,000 on Instagram

I realise that to some people, this isn’t a big deal and that reaching 1k is nothing at all but to me, it’s a nice confidence booster about my photos.

So if you follow me, thank you!

In Other News…

I booked something rather exciting for December. I can’t say what it is right now, but hopefully I’ll be able to tell you soon…

Stranger Things 2 landed on Friday and it’s safe to say that the entire country went absolutely crazy for it. I did watch it, but for those who haven’t, I’m going to keep my opinions to myself just in case I spoil it for anyone.

Friday night was old school date night of dinner and a movie. Let me tell you: the duck pancakes from Wagamama’s are SO good. We went to see Breathe (based on a true story) which was such a heartfelt film.

  1. I hope you’re OK and next week is brighter for you. The pumpkin carving in the hope for a good instagram sounds like my kind of fail to – well done on the 1k followers – that’s amazing!! X
