I’m well and truly settled into the festive period now and I don’t want it to end. Everyone is creating amazing content, people are happy, the markets are jam packed, the films are on TV and the tubs of chocolates have been opened.
Throughout the year, I’ve posted 29 beauty related posts and so for today’s post, I thought I’d do a big ol’ round up of my absolute favourites which I’ve either discovered within the past 12 months or I’ve continually used them and just loved them even more
I bought this on a complete whim after wanting a body lotion which wasn’t as thick as the Soap & Glory one and also, I really needed something to team up with the shower gel. It’s a 48 hour, fast absorbing, hydrating lotion which I use pretty much every single day and from the morning until the evening, it allows my skin to feel incredible soft.
Ladies, I think I’ve found the dupe to the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Palette. Everyone went a little bit mental on my Instagram when I posted about this and I can firmly admit that it’s been my go-to for months. The contour isn’t heavily pigmented at all which I absolutely love, but it’s very buildable which is good for touch ups or even for a night out. I’ve spoken about my love for MakeUp Revolution highlighters before and this one doesn’t disappoint at all.
I think it’s safe to say that everyone loves a mini. When I was in Corfu Airport flying home, I picked up a Marc Jacobs set of four perfumes – one of which was my absolute favourite (Daisy Dream), but I was really intrigued about the other three. Daisy Eau So Fresh is a scent which really reminds me of my childhood as it’s quite a sweet fragrance that makes me think of Parma Violets. Who remembers those sweets?
I’ve never been one for lip liners, until this one came into my life and completely wowed me. Eastend Snob is the most perfect nude pink shade for my skin tone and I absolutely adore it. It’s perfect to apply when you’re not wanting to wear lipstick but you just want that little bit of colour added to your face. I prefer to apply this after Vaseline just so it lasts a lot longer and also, if my lips are chapped due to the weather, they won’t crack when I fill them in. It is an exaggerate lip liner so it has the ability to make your lips look a little bit fuller, but for me, it’s all about the colour and the easy application.
I mean, I wear this on a daily basis. What more can I say than that? The texture of this lipsticks is amazing and don’t even get me started on the colour pigmentation because that’s just unreal. I now have three of these lipsticks in my collection and each one makes my lips feel incredibly soft and the colour lasts for hours on end. LOVE.
When I want to Corfu back in September, I wore this liquid lipstick every single night and with the heat, I thought it may be overly drying for my lips but it really wasn’t. The colour stayed with me all night, despite eating dinner, ice creams and drinking cocktails. I’m so impressed with these liquid lipsticks and I recently purchased a red one for the festive month which I’ll be wearing so much!
Is anyone surprised by this being featured? The answer would be no. I’ve loved this liquid liner for a good 5-6 years now and I honestly couldn’t do winged liner without it. I’ve tried so many other liners, but I always come back to this one as it’s just the ultimate holy grail product. For everyday effortless cat flick, this is the one!
This is yet another returning favourite from last year as I’ve been wearing it on my nails so much this year (I’ve been having gels as well). The colour is a mixture of grey and purple which creates the most beautiful shade for all year round use. You all know how much I adore Rimmel’s nail polishes but for me, this one is the absolute best.
You know the body lotion I just spoke about? Well, this is it’s partner. I wanted a body duo which wouldn’t break the bank (£1 for the shower cream and £2 for the lotion), but I still wanted a combination which would be good for my skin. Everyone knows that Nivea have been my go-to brand for a good decade and that won’t change anytime soon. This shower cream is exactly what my skin needs during Winter – it’s moisturising, the scent isn’t overpowering and it allows my skin to feel soft for days.
I remember being in Sephora in Corfu Old Town knowing full well that this was available in the UK, but there’s just something about purchasing a mini product whilst you’re abroad. This mascara has changed my lashes – they’re longer, they’re fuller and they’ve got so much more volume, so naturally, it’s on my Christmas list.
I remember trying to purchase this palette for months, but no matter where I went, it was always completely sold out until the Mr spotted it one afternoon in Boots and kindly treated me to it. This highlighting palette is unbelievably beautiful and despite only really using the purple shade for my cheeks, I couldn’t be without it.
Another year, another selection of my favourites done and dusted.
