My Simple Everyday Skin Care Routine

When it comes to skincare, I like to keep things very simple with minimal products. I see a lot of bloggers using mainly high end skincare but for me, drugstore is the way forward as I’ve had zero complaints from my face.

Whether it’s the morning or evening, this is my routine for both morning + evening which allows it to be very simple and straightforward without any nonsense.

Step One:Β nspa Hot Cloth Polish

I begin with applying the cream all over my face, especially around my nose and forehead as that’s my problem area. It’s as simple as one or two pumps of the cream all over your face, rubbing in a circular motion and gently wipe away with the hot cloth. This is a brilliant product to kick start your day as it gives your face the prep it needs after a night’s sleep and just in case your makeup didn’t properly come off last night, it gets rid of any excess.

Side note: This is the dupe to the Liz Earle Cleanse + Polish just in case anyone is looking for a cheaper option.

Step Two: Clean & Clear Cleansing Lotion

If you’ve read my blog for a while, you’ll know that I’ve used this cleanser for many years. It’s the one lotion which I’ve gone back to time and time again as it rids my skin of oil, grease, dirt and gives my pores a wonderful tighten which I didn’t think would help my skin but it surprisingly does. The great thing about this cleansing lotion is that a little goes a long way so it lasts quite a while and is fantastic for taking off my face makeup (not the eyes though, stay well away from those!)

Step Three: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

My skincare routine is simple because my skin is unbelievably sensitive so for me, when I find a product which really works, I continually use it. For me, the Micellar Cleansing Water is absolutely perfect for taking off my eye makeup as it’s very gentle and allows the cotton pad to effortlessly glide across your lids. I can’t recommend this enough – whether it’s a massive bottle or a cute travel size, I know I’ll be using this for years.

Step Four: Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturising Cream

This will come as no surprise to majority of you, but this cream has been part of my life for well over a decade and it’s the key to how I keep my skin so effortlessly soft. It’s perfect to finish my daily skin routine for the morning as I currently don’t have a day time cream which is working wonders for my skin, so for me, this works as a brilliant prep for my skin.

Step Five: Nivea Daily Essentials Regenerating Night Cream

For years, I wondered whether night creams actually worked but for me, this one really does. I apply it right before I fall asleep and the following morning when I wake up, my skin is still incredibly soft and it also helps with any spots or blemishes!
