Christmas Shopping with Aintree Retail Park

Christmas is the time to spoil your loved ones.

In my family, I’m known for being very organised and buying birthday cards/presents a good two months in advance as I really don’t enjoy the last minute purchase.

I finished my Christmas shopping at the end of November (quite late for me!), so when Aintree Shopping Park got in touch, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to treat myself to a few new items. I was very kindly sent some vouchers for a few shops; £15 for Paperchase, £20 for Next and £40 in Marks and Spencer.

The best stationary shop in the UK is without a doubt: Paperchase. They have everything you could possibly need from school supplies to unique cards to the most beautiful yearly diaries. They have very quickly become my go-to for cards for the Mr as they have a brilliant humour section and they’re granted to make you chuckle.

With the £15 voucher, I was only able to purchase the products online before desperately hoping they’d arrive in time for this post! The general idea behind these purchases was: a) I’ve ran out of gift tags + ribbon for presents and b) I really want to spruce up my flatlays for 2018 content so with that in mind, I bought…

2 sets of Red Mini Christmas Gift Tags {set of 10}
Red Glitter Christmas Ribbon {3m}
‘Just My Cup Of Tea’ Card
Ballerina Postcard
Girl Power Postcard
‘You Got This’ Postcard
Multipack of 30 Postcards [similar link]

Over the past few years, Next have quickly become one of my favourite shops. I love how comfortable the jumpers are, they have a wide variety of colour and don’t even get me started on how soft the dressing gowns are! One item which I’ve never purchased from Next is a pair of shoes; boots in particular.

Treating myself to a pair of £40 boots is something which I very rarely do as I’m extremely fussy when it comes to any kind of shoes, including slippers! I picked up these gorgeous boots as a) they have a little heel to give me some height, b) they’re what my Mum would call “proper leather” and c) when I tried them on, I felt great.

Who doesn’t love Marks and Spencer?

I absolutely adore everything they produce from the clothes, the super comfy bras to the beauty bits and of course, the homeware. One of my 2018 resolutions is to inject more colour into my wardrobe and so, I thought I’d start earlier with this beautiful soft pink scarf for £12.50. I also picked up a set of five incredibly soft socks for £10 (seriously, M&S do the best socks) and of course, I bought myself a three wick fruity mandarin candle for £9.50 which smells utterly incredible.

I plan on doing more in depth reviews of a few of the products, so make sure you keep an eye out for those in 2018. Whether you still have a few Christmas presents to purchase, why not treat yourself to a new candle or scarf for the festive season. After all, you deserve it.
