The Hype Behind The £4 Concealer

The hype is so real.

I’m sure that you’ve all heard about the Make Up Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer by now. It’s taken the blogosphere by absolute storm and rightly so, because it’s actually insane.

I managed to pick up my shade in Superdrug after reading a handful of blog reviews and being convinced that it was worth trying out.

You all know how much I adore MakeUp Revolution.

That’ll come as no surprise to anyone as I’ve been shouting about this brand for multiple years now and their products blow me away every single time.

With eighteen shades for pale, medium and dark skin tones, this concealer is perfect for under the eyes, covering up spots and giving your cheekbones that little bit extra definition. They’ve really focused on undertones when creating this concealer and they’re really pushed the boat out so if you have beige, cool, golden, neutral, peach, pink, warm and yellow.

I’m not 100% sure what kind of undertone my skin has (how do you know?), so I opted for C6 which is ideal for light/medium skin tone with yellow tone.

It may not be my exact shade but so far, I’m pretty impressed with it.

On a week day, I do my makeup around 6:20 in the morning and depending on my plans, it’s removed between 6-7pm. I need coverage to stay on my face throughout the day in work as I want to look my best in case I’ve got meetings or the hormones strike.

The application of the concealer is wonderful as the brush is large so you’re able to apply quite a bit before blending it into your skin. Usually with concealer, the brush is relatively slim which means you need to continually go back to the tube for more product.

As a girl who doesn’t wear foundation, concealer is my go-to in order to cover up the bad night’s sleep and the spots caused by a crazy amount of chocolate. This concealer does the job and mixed with my beloved Collection Lasting Perfection, it’s a match made in makeup heaven.

Oh and the concealers are vegan AND cruelty free.

MakeUp Revolution, take a bow. You deserve it.

  1. I tried to look for this product in my local Superdrug and they didn’t have it. Think I’ll need to make a journey into town because I need this! People are comparing it to Tarte’s Shape Tape!

  2. I’ve been wanting to buy this ever since the hype first started. Unfortunately they’ve only got seven shades in my local Superdrug and the ones that could be remotely anything close to my shade have run out, but I’m going to London this Weds-Fri so it’s definitely on my list of things to look out for! The only downside I’ve heard is that there isn’t as much product as it looks like there is, and some people are complaining about it running out after 3/4 weeks. I’d love to know what you thought about the amount of product you get in them?

    1. Your local Superdrug should have more than seven shades as the brand have released quite a lot. There’s plenty of product in the tube but it depends on how much you use on a daily basis.

      1. Unfortunately my local one is only a tiny store, so finding anything in there is pretty difficult! I’m glad to know you think there’s a lot of product in there; I may give it a go after all! Thanks again for your review.
