Thursday, please hurry up.
With all that has gone on in the past month or so, I need this holiday more than ever. If you’re new to my blog (hi, hello, welcome), you may not know that I am heading to Crete on Thursday with the Mr.
When it comes to trips, I’m very organised in terms of packing and having a rough idea of where I’d like to visit next. Recently, I have seen many bloggers purchasing a backpack on EBay for an absolute steal of £13 (John Lewis sell them for £80+), but when I spotted this gorgeous “dark mole” backpack in H&M last month, I knew that it would be perfect to travel with.
I have always been a handbag kinda girl.
I think the only time I’ve worn a backpack was for Brownies back in the day and when I pick my oldest nephew up from school.
But this backpack had me swooning and after trying it on, I was sold.
The Dark Mole Backpack stands at the price of £24.99 which is on the pricey side for what it is, but it is perfect for travelling with.
Fear not, the backpack isn’t real leather – in actual fact, it is what is known as “imitation leather” and it is so soft to wear.
Yes, that’s right. This backpack is soft to wear.
With the metallic purple/silver colouring all over as well as the gold detailing on the straps and zips, it is both practical and stylish for any day.
There is a little detailing across the front which says “Madison Ave. NYC” which adds a little bit more of a vibe to the backpack but in all honesty, I didn’t even notice it until I got home. The writing is quite small and you’re only really able to see it if you’re up close to the bag (which would give me the absolute fear of “please don’t steal from me.”)
For in-flight essentials, I try to pack as light as possible so I can save room for ALL THE SNACKS once we’re through security.
I tend to always pack my purse, my book (Five Years From Now by Paige Toon), my sunglasses, Vaseline, a mini perfume and my little “first aid” bag consisting of concealer, plasters, lip liner and some headache tablets.
Oh and of course: my passport but that tends to go in the night before.
In case you’re wondering about how much it can fit in, I bought a new beach towel from Matalan and it fits in the backpack. That is music to my ears.
