The Sunday Post #25

July, already?

I had this post ready to go and for some unknown reason, WordPress thought it would be a superb idea to delete the entire content half an hour before it’s due to be published.

How lovely of them.

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you may know that I stopped doing weekly Sunday posts simply because I was busy with my job and I had no time to write them. Well, the unemployed life is making me want to write them again so here we are.

What I’ve Been Reading

I’ve only managed to read one book this week – The Reinvention of Martha Ross by Charlene Allcott and I liked it.

I wish I could say more but then, what would be the point of me writing a full review?

I liked it. The character of Martha was interesting. The plot flowed but the ending needed a few more chapters adding in.

This Weather – WOW!

If you live in the UK, how amazing is this weather?

If you live outside the UK, please know that it’s flipping HOT here right now.

We’ve been granted with 30 degrees this week, which has been unbearable at times. Thankfully, the living room is an absolute saviour and it’s so cool in there.

How long will it last? Who knows? I just wish the pollen would bugger off..

When I came home from Crete, I had a fair few parcels waiting for me from a selection of publishers. Granted, I’ve already read one but I’m so excited to get stuck into these.

On Sunday mornings, I generally tend to post a book theme photo on Instagram so keep an eye out for those!

Go Ape

Yesterday, the Mr and I were kindly invited by Go Ape to spend the afternoon at their Delamere Forest location.

It was HOT.

It was sweaty.

It wasn’t for my stomach.

But it was fun!

Keep your eyes peeled for a blog post in about two weeks.

In Other News..

Guess who finally hit 1.5k on Instagram? That would be me!

This week, I was without a car for two days and it was torture. Albus (yes, that’s the name of my car) spent some time in the Vauxhall garage having some work done and thanks to past Emma, I didn’t have to pay a single penny. Well, I pay £17 a month for service covers but still, my bank account isn’t crying.

I met with a personal trainer on Thursday morning as I’m finally doing something about my weight (let’s ignore the McDonalds and Chinese that I consumed this weekend, shall we?). We had an induction session which consisted of letting him know what areas I want to work on, which exercises I like doing and I also got to know his fitness background which I found interesting. We’re meeting again on Tuesday morning for a proper session and I’m actually looking forward to it.

Oh and happy birthday Dad!
