The Sunday Post #36

Buckle up, I’ve got quite a lot to share with you all…

Brunch (01)

Liverpool (22)
Emma (62)Liverpool (17)

About two weeks ago, I met up with Sophie who I haven’t seen in about three years and seeing as she has landed back in Liverpool, we decided to catch up over breakfast at The Quarter before wandering around the Georgian Quarter as well as accidentally stumbling into New Look.

It was so lovely to see Soph again and to hear about her life in London, her job in radio and she kindly showed me a few hidden spots that I desperately wanted to photograph.

A few days before, I met with Rach who I’ve known for a little while through Instagram and we finally managed to nail a date to meet up. I was crying with laughter at one point – she is so refreshingly honest and it was just nice to chat over food. We went to a little Thai place on Bold Street (not amazing, wouldn’t recommend) before heading to the Georgian Quarter to take a few photos.

I’m seeing a few more Liverpool based bloggers soon which I’m very much looking forward to.

What I’ve Been Reading

You all know how I much I adore books.

Throughout the past few months, I’ve read some fantastic books which I’ve shared with you all and it’s so lovely to hear what you all think about them once you’ve read them.

More recently, I’ve been utterly obsessed with An Unwanted Guest by Shari Lapena which is by far, the best murder mystery / who-dunnit plot because I honestly had no idea who was the murderer and in true Shari style, she gives you the exact shock right in the final sentence.

This week, I read This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay which is a book that you can’t escape from as it is all over social media. I picked myself a copy up from ASDA while I did the weekly food shop last Friday and within 30 pages, I was already laughing…

Next Stop…

The Mr is very difficult to buy for and seeing as he’s turning 30 in early November, I started to panic about his present. I tried to write a list of 30 items that could be bought but in the end, I’ve got with the safe option and one that I know he’ll enjoy:

Towards the end of October, we’re heading to Amsterdam for 3.5 days before flying to Edinburgh for a further 2.5 days. I really can’t wait to take a trip, to enjoy the spots that Amsterdam has to offer as well as return to one of my favourite cities.

You know that when we do go away, I’ll be sharing it all on Instagram.

A Morning With Jessops

On Friday morning, I attended my first blog event in four years. Jessops very kindly invited me to their new store on Lord Street to talk all about their printing services, their personalised gifts and to present me with my personalised canvas of my umbrella image.

Of course, there will be a blog post coming your way very soon.

In Other News…

I’m still working with my personal trainer – that hasn’t stopped and I’m so happy with my progress so far. As of last Friday, I’ve lost 13 pounds and despite having a few hiccups with not feeling well, giving into temptation of a curly wurly and not always feeling 100% motivated. BUT, I love my sessions – they’re fun, they’re different each time and my PT keeps pushing me to work harder than last time.

With Autumn being upon us, I’ve slowly started adding a few more pieces of clothing into my wardrobe. By “pieces of clothing,” I mean jumpers, long sleeved tops and pinafores because I want to live in them.

I want to end on a very high note but I’m also going to leave you hangin’ as I want to share the news in a blog post. Fear not, the post is coming tomorrow for you all…
