If you don’t have goals, what are you really aiming towards?
For 2019, I have decided to set myself five goals in which I hope I can achieve and perhaps it will give me the boost of positivity that I have been needing for some time.
Whether you set yourself a big goal such as planning a wedding or a small one such as drink more water, it is important that we continually have a target in mine for ourselves so that we progress.
All humans need to progress whether we like it or not.
Loose More Weight
In July, I set myself a mid-year goal to loose weight before Christmas and guess what? I did just that – I found myself a personal trainer, I worked out consistently and after twenty-two weeks, I managed to loose one and a half stone.
I can’t even begin to tell you how proud I am of myself but I haven’t finished just yet.
I still have work to do and I’m continuing with my personal trainer, my health eating and I’m aiming towards yet another weight loss goal in the hope that I can reach my end goal before our summer holiday.
Find A Job I Love
I bet you didn’t expect to read that, after all, I announced in September that I had found my dream job and I thought I was set for life but oh how wrong I was.
Life took a horrible turn for me when my Nan passed away and my entire life suffered because of it including my career. It’s not the end of the world but I need to put my happiness first and well, I think I got a lucky break.
So my biggest goal for 2019 is to find a job I love – whether it’s in Marketing or not, I just want to be happy in what I do on a daily basis.
Read 50 Books
In 2018, I only read 27 books and by my standards, that is very poor by my standards but seeing as the Mr kindly bought me a new Kindle for Christmas, I’ve decided to set myself a Goodreads challenge and I’m definitely not the only one.
I started my blog because of my love for books and I will continue to blog about them until I stop reading (never!) but last year, people asked for more book content and I failed to deliver.
Not this year, hopefully.
Spend Less Time On Social Media
Did you know that you can set a time limit on Instagram for how much time you spend on there? Neither did I until a few weeks ago when I set myself a one hour limit.
You can also set a limit through your phone as well which I haven’t quite done yet but I think in the next few weeks, I ought to set myself a limit because I don’t want to spend hours upon hours aimlessly scrolling on social media.
Putting my phone down and reaching for my book is what I’d like to do more of.
Have A Positive Mind Set
I failed this goal in 2018 because the year kept on going from bad to worse to rock bottom and being happy was the last thing on my mind.
I got rid of toxic relationships, horrible “family” members and people who wouldn’t give me the time of day and I feel so much better for doing that because negativity isn’t welcome into my life anymore.
So now that I’ve put my goals for 2019 into the Blogosphere, I wonder if I’ll be able to keep up with them?
