I think we can all agree that duty free is the best part about being in an airport.
It’s the only place where I can really justify spending that little bit extra on myself when it comes to makeup and perfume.
I am extremely honoured to be working in collaboration with the wonderful team at World Duty Free for this post and to showcase the fantastic beauty products in which they have kindly gifted to me.
First up, we have the Love Your Look Set from Elizabeth Arden (£33.00) in which you receive four gorgeous products within a very beautiful travel makeup bag.
If you happen to be a fan of Elizabeth Arden, I sincerely think that this is a brilliant gift set for yourself or for any female member of your family. My mum has had her eye on it already, that’s for sure!
The eyeshadow quad is a real mixture of colours – neutral beige on the left and purple tones on the left. As a woman with brown eyes, the purple shades work really well with my skin tone and hair colouring.
The pigmentation is light, it’s quite easy to blend and when you’re travelling it’s a great palette to use to go from day to night.
Lipsticks are my favourite part of any gift set and they’re probably the reason which I’d purchase in the first place.
I’ve never tried any Elizabeth Arden products, let alone any of their lipsticks and so I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that the formulas are creamy and very consistent in terms of eating / drinking.
Out of the two shades, I knew that Barely There would be my favourite. It’s light on the lips and despite the name of the lipstick, there is a slight hint of colouring to the lips.
As for the lipgloss, this is a beauty product which I haven’t used in several years as it’s one in which I relate to my teen years. The shade, Sweet Pink gives a pop of colour to the lips and to my complete surprise, it’s not overly sticky (bonus!).
I personally wouldn’t always reach for the lipgloss due to my own personal taste but I know for certain that I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of both of the lipsticks as well as the travel makeup bag.
The second product in which I was kindly gifted is the YVES Saint Laurent Travel MakeUp Kit (£46.10) and this duo is ideal for any female who is looking for that extra slice of glamour during their holiday.
I have been very vocal about my teeny-tiny eye lashes here on my blog and I struggled for quite some time to find a mascara which did them justice.
Yet with this mascara, my lashes are coated within one sweep and I was amazing by how voluminous and full they actually looked, but I do believe that this is more of a mascara for an evening makeup up look rather than a day-to-day vibe.
The second half of this duo is the Touché Eclat Radiant Touch is the one makeup product that every girl needs in their handbag as it is absolutely perfect at those little touch ups throughout the day.
In all honesty, I wasn’t sure what to make of this product at first as I’m not someone who touches my makeup up throughout the day but I tried it and fell in love with it. Now, it’s a stable for my handbag – especially for those days when I’m out and about shooting fashion content.
Disclaimer: These products were kindly gifted to me by World Duty Free who I now have a working relationship with.
