The Best Italian Food In Liverpool

It is extremely rare that I queue outside a restaurant.

99% of the time it’s because the Mr is impatient or the wait is just that little too long and my hunger can’t handle the anticipation any longer.

But there is one place in which I would happily queue outside of, no matter the time wait and the food has never, ever disappointed me.

That place is called Casa Italia and is quite possibly the best Italian food within Liverpool.  The Mr introduced me to the restaurant about two years ago and ever since, I’ve been in love with the entire menu; trying to order different things each time I go (but always wanting the tagliatelle every single time.

We were kindly allowed to choose anything from the menu and well, that was kinda difficult because there’s a lot of choice but I also just wanted a real comfort dish after a long day in the office.

For starters, I opted for the cheesy garlic bread which they kindly made gluten free for me (disclaimer: I’m not gluten free, just didn’t want to bloat) and honestly, I couldn’t tell the difference. It was the perfect ratio of bread to cheese and it wasn’t greasy in the slightest.

One of the girls seated opposite me went for the dough balls which go hand in hand with the meatballs so next time I’m there, I’m definitely going to order those with the Mr.

For mains, I went for a classic dish: spaghetti and meatballs. With Casa Italia, you can either go small or large and seeing as I’d already eaten half a big garlic bread, I decided to go for the small portion. The team unfortunately didn’t have gluten free spaghetti but instead, they gave me more meatballs to spaghetti which worked out perfectly for my stomach.

Will I be back?

Very, very stupid question.

Casa Italia is one of my favourite restaurants of all time and it holds a special place in my stomach. Highly recommend if you’re a big fan of Italian food and if you’re in the area.

A big thank you to the Casa Italia team for kindly inviting a group of North West bloggers – we had such a good evening! Their menu includes a wide selection of pasta and pizza – you just can’t go wrong with anything that you order.
