The Floral Skirt For The Seasonal Transition

It has reached that point in the year when we all start thinking about the seasonal transition; the denim shorts go into storage and the cosy, chunky knitwear items are brought out from under the bed.

There are a few Summer items of clothing which I have found work well for the Autumnal days; ones in which you can easily pair up with a jumper and a pair of trainers – whatever your style is.

Granted, these photos were taken during the late August Bank Holiday but still, I’ve managed to team it up with a little cosy jumper during those chiller days.

The skirt in question is a new favourite of mine, one in which I wish I’d bought earlier in the Summer but I know that next year, I’ll get a lot of wear out of it.

I’ve spoken about New Look’s sizing in a previous blog post, but I have to say it again: the sizing is absolutely spot on! I never thought I would be a size 10 on top as well as on the bottom, but I am and with that comes the confidence to wear items of clothing that I didn’t think I’d ever wear.

The cream daisy floral midi skirt (£19.99) is just beautiful. Despite the fabric being lightweight, you can quite easily get away with wearing it during the seasonal transitional period if the weather isn’t overly cold.

It wasn’t just the side split that sold the skirt to me, it was in fact the pattern – I’ve really enjoyed wearing a simple t-shirt and a snazzy skirt (as well as vice versa!).

Size wise, I wear a 10 and there’s still plenty of room around your waist and in terms of height, I’m 5 ft 3″ and it finishes just before my ankles as you can see on the images.

This is most definitely a staple item in my wardrobe whilst we make the transition into the Autumnal months.
